The 93rd Comiston AGM took place at Mortonhall Golf Club on 14th November, A number of members (including some of the prizewinners) were sunning themselves overseas and were missed but those who attended had a most enjoyable evening and delicious meal. At the Prizegiving which followed the dinner, the new Comiston logo golf balls were handed out to prizewinners along with the cups and other trophies. Congratulations to all 2013 prizewinners and good golf to all in 2014.
Highlighting a few individuals, Zandra Mathieson our Secretary had won multiple medals and reduced her handicap by several shots over the season and Sandra Ashurst also had numerous wins including the hole and hole knockout. Neither feature in the photos below unfortunately as they could not be at the prizegiving. The 2013 Comiston Champion, Anne Brownie, deputised for the Secretary at the AGM and is pictured above with Louise Fraser, our 2012 Champion, who is also the 2013 Champion of Champions. Comiston Ladies are delighted and proud that Louise won the Champion of Champions whilst representing Comiston. (No pressure for 2014 Anne!!!!)
Finally, Rosemary Williamson demitted office as Treasurer and is pictured below receiving her rather different botanical presentation to thank her for her significant contribution on committee - no bouquet for Rosemary but a broom plant with "lost" golf ball to remind her of the golden blooms of broom and gorse that bedeck the Braids! ( along with some vouchers to select gifts of her own choosing!).
Maggie Salmond handed over the Captain's badge to Pam Townsend with Sue Cowie coming in as Vice Captain whilst Maggie takes on the vacant Treasurer's office.
