Long-time Comiston member and in recent times Honorary Member, Ruth Johnston, died recently in Edinburgh.
Ruth was of the same generation of Comiston Ladies as Kate Milne, whose family donated the Centenary Salver to Comiston at our last AGM. Many of the newer members of Comiston will not have met her but those who have been around longer remember, with fondness, that Ruth was always called upon to say grace at the annual dinner. Ruth performed this task with aplomb and had an excellent repertoire of graces.
